Rahab’s Daughters is a non-profit agency addressing the issues of Female Human Trafficking within our local area. The program rescues, houses, educates and rehabilitates women who have been trafficked. Rahab’s Daughters provides a safe place to live while addressing complex issues including medical and psychological treatment, procurement of necessary documents, a work training program and an educational workshop which allows women to complete the GED program.
Rahab’s Daughters is the only Human Trafficking Program with a safe house in the Barrington area. The program also allows mothers to be able to keep their young children with them while in the program.
The Power of the Purse grant will be used to assist in funding the GED program, including the cost of materials, tutoring, and exam fees.
